Thank you for bringing this to our attention! This is just a rare bug in the AI. I plan to have this fixed in the final release of SplitWolf.

Dean - beyond (important) bug reports...what do you think of the project/trailer? :)

I think it's fantastic, I really look forward to playing it. I'd like to see it made as a playable version of original Wolf3d complete before it being anything else though.

Is it just co-operartive or is there a 'v's' option with Frag count etc.?

My only concern it that if co-op plays through original Wolf as it stands then it would be quite easy as you would only have the amount of guards created for 1 player for 2. Either it would need to run on the hardest difficulty or some extra guard placement would need to be done. This of course then messes with the original size limitations. Is it SDL?

It is cooperative play only. You can fire on other players in cooperative mode, but there is no frag count. I don't think deathmatch would work in a split screen game, at least not in a game like Wolf3D.

We are using SDL and we can add more enemies and ammo to make the game challenging for 2 players. It is still challenging on the hardest skill. This is especially true when players explore different areas on their own to find keys, locked doors, treasure, etc.

Why to be concerned? Do something about it - you're a mapper :)

I hope mappers will get excited/inspired to make special mapsets for this - creating maps that take coop play into account, creating special coop challenges and make areas that require smart player cooperation. Can be very interesting :)

Do you want to start working on such a mappack? It can be released with SplitWolf.
1 pack can be named "Wolf3D - CoopPack" - making changes to original Wolf3D maps to make them especially fun to coop players...while still making the maps recognizable by Wolfers.
Second pack can be "all new coop-special" maps :)

SplitWolf is very friendly for new maps, art.
There are no special map attributes to maps, and it can work with any existing "classic Wolf3D" mappack.
ALL additional art is very easy to change as well - for mods.
    And it's SDL :)

You might not believe it...but making 8-dir Bosses is a bit hard...

Oh, I believe it. It's easier to make 8-dir guards for some reason. :D

    Hi, i am new here....
I've got invited from the ZDoom forums, where i found this SplitScreen Wolf3D youtube video.
I saw that the mech suit of hitler had rotations, but not the Hitler himself.
Maybe i can provide you guys there alittle with this:

    Hitler complete (without the mech-suit)
    Hidden Text: Show
    Image

Where you can find more progress of me about Hitler or maybe more Boss rotations is being here.

I know that the transparancy color is not Wolfenstein's, please forgive me, since this Sprite sheet was done for the Doom engine.
But i guess, to revert the transparancy would be an easy task from here.

But is it in Wolf3D palette? Transparency is easy to remove/change.

I think it is, i mean, i used the same colors that the front sprites uses,
and the front sprites came directly from Wolf3D.
Except the transparency colors, the cyan is a Doom tranparency color.
I have not figured out how or what to do to make it fit right into your Wolf project, if
    the sprite sheet is acceptable...?

I was planning to do more bosses of Wolfenstein 3D and following up the Spear of destiny's...
But i think i'll take too much work for my credit, so i can't promise that i will succeed in making
    ALL the bosses rotations.
The bosses rotations was actually for my own projects involving Wolfenstein 3D for the Doom community,
but i am willing to share my works for the wider audience.
Its free for use. The choice is up to you guys

EDIT: I am also going to make a Hitler with a swastikas patch on his arm, but im not sure you guys want that.
I mean, 1 Hitler sprite sheet is pretty much enough, right?

If you have separate frames - it'll help much.
Otherwise it's alot of work for me I--8P **O** ....but one gotta do what one gotta do.... :pardon:
    It's doable.

You'll see I've made back frames for most if not all Wolf3D and Spear Bosses.
So you won't be starting from zero.

Still, if you want to make it easier - "freeze" their upper body, just make proper leg movement and shooting.

Thank you for that :) We will - and you will be credited :)
