I've wrote the author (and also commented) to make them aware of the new beta - and suggested a wish they'll put videos of new beta online as well - to spread the awareness for it.

I wish I could contact Cobra to update his Wolf3D pack - one that got SplitWolf so famous. He didn't answer my old PM.

Wolf3D Coop (with my "SplitWolf" art), on "Wolf3D TC for zDoom" (Afadoomer's famous project). This is the closest of true Wolf3D multiplayer we can get at this point.
(I've been exchanging PMs with this guy over ModdB for a few days now)

    A childhood dream come true...
When I first played this game in '92 as a kid I always imagined how cool this game would be in cooperative mode... Well now 21 years later I am playing this cooperatively with my nephew across the internet ;)

I love to have made a 21-year old dream of a person to come true....and give him the opportunity to play Wolf3D with his nephew.

I'm glad someone found a way to do this.

You've done a good thing for the community here. I'm sure his nephew appreciates what you have done. What a special moment in that boy's life. :good:

Feel free to share the credit  - he wouldn't been exposed to my art without "SplitWolf" - which wouldn't exist at all if not for you and your coding skills and patience.

Maaan, I have so little people to whom I can explain what is so rewarding in allowing one person, who is unknown to me (beside exchanging PMs with him), to play a Doom port of 20-year old game with his nephew in coop.
    8-/

And yet it means so much to me....but you need to be a modder to understand that. That's what I like so much about modding and about modders.

I know exactly how you feel, Max. Almost no one on the planet understands what we do, why we do it, and why it is meaningful to us.

They obviously want to deter any non-fans of Doom from registering their site. That's hilarious. :D
