I hear Ben Affleck does an excellent job of it.

Yeah, hearing good things about Affleck. Not so much about the movie itself, nor the writing. Looks great on the surface, but very superficial/bad underneath it. Kinda expected, since Man of Steel was sorta the same.

I do hope they cool it down with the Batman killing/sadistically branding criminals in his solo flick. Not cool.

I'll probably write a detailed review later, when I'll have the time.

Huge dissapointment for me. Big flop. As critics say - too long, boring for the most of it, too dark, too self-serious, bad script. My friend (DC comics fan BTW) even slept half of it.
Indeed best Batman ever, kudos to Afflek. Very good musical score indeed. Legendary key scenes - Batman vs. Superman, Batman vs. Thugs etc done perfectly - basically no reason to see the movie, best parts are already in the trailers.
Director seem to be a bad director. Key scenes, particular scenes - he knows to do well. But movie - is a concept too big for Snyder. Between some key scenes - he really doesn't know what to do with the movie, with the script. It's long, boring, action-less and pointless.

    Watched "Dark Knight" right now.
Maaan what a difference. Love Nolan movies even more now, SOOOO much better. Less good batman (perfect movie would be all Nolan stuff + Affleck's Batman), but what a script, writing, skill and talent to do movies...I watched it like 10 times, and no time to breathe during it, whole other league of movie-making. While Snyder movies is good stuff to get asleep with.

The movie takes itself too seriously and so looks at time like a dramatic parody of itself with it's dramatic pathos enhanced by dramatic music score.
It's more dramatic than it's actual comics material.
To deal with it - it seems Snyder prefers too long "preparation" for the characters so we'll get more invested in them emotionally - but the result is long and boring actionless parts of the movie. 2.5 hours is soooo too much for this movie...even 2 hours is too much for it.
Jessie Eisenberg seemed to forget which character he actually needs to play, and instead focused on proving the directors he coud be a good Joker.

Alot of inspiration from "The Dark Knight Returns".

I think fans will hate the movie as much as critics will.

Quite disappointing indeed. Didn't have high expectations, but even then... really a bad movie. Though I must say, it started off quite well. Affleck is good, and the destruction of Metropolis from his perspective was quite a good opener. But there's so many weird stuff in here that did not work for me. All those dream sequences, of which there were way too many; a big middle part which was really boring; the odd placement of the Justice League cameos, right in front of the BvS battle; overall odd scene transitions. Really just a mess of a movie.

    Good stuff:
-Affleck is quite good, though the motivations for Batman were very poorly written
-Gadot seems fine in a role that is really unnecessary in this film
-Wayne in Metropolis is quite a good scene
    -Batman action is good
    -Jeremy Irons as Alfred

    The so-so stuff:
-Eisenberg as Lex Luther. Not good, but it felt like Eisenberg was aware that this movie was bad, so he just went full Nicolas Cage. Nevertheless, some stuff around him was so unpleasantly written (the piss gag) that it reflected badly upon him.
-Cavill as Superman is kinda boring, because Superman is badly written in this movie. However, Cavill still has a nice presence. He just needs a tad of the charisme he had in his role in The Men from UNCLE.
-Batman hitting Superman with a sink. Unintentional, but I laughed hard. xD

    Bad stuff:
-Snyder needs to cool it with the Jesus symbolism. We get it.
    -Superman & Batman killing people.
-The tone of the movie is just unpleasant.
-The ending is, again, a bunch of disaster/destruction porn. Bored me to tears.
-The Martha scene. I mean, come on.
    -Bad writing overall.
    -Unnecessary JL cameos.
    -All those fucking dream sequences
