First "X Factor Israel" - and truly amazing winner, a foreign (lesbo) worker from Philippines who never sang on a big stage before.....fat and all - but her voice is simply...makes your jaw fall....the next Susan Boile.... , such a deserved win

What does the fact that she's fat have to do with anything Max? Does that mean you shouldn't be able to sing good? That was a bit of rude statement I felt...

It means Israel's audience voted for her just because of her voice (and maybe a personal story, but mostly for the voice), not of her looks (the second "place" was a young and cute local girl who was popular as well with nice voice too). And it's good, in such a media like TV when looks matter too much... Whole country hugged and loved Rose....now she'll get even permission to sing in Israel for money, which was not on her "foreign worker" VISA. Minister gave her the permission.
She touched hearts.

Looks still matter, except voting now goes in the opposite direction: to people with good voices who do not look like a typical pop star. But this is still judging someone on his/her appearance. Inescapable.

These talentshows are bs anyway. They're good cover artists but rarely interesting artists in their own right. And after a year they're gone again.
