Fell and broke my knee about 2 weeks ago, had complicated knee surgery, was hospitalized for week, now home with 6 weeks of full leg cast and a long way to recovery.

Hard times, my wife is taking care of me.

    Thank you! :friends:

There will be a long way - sure to full recovery, trying to get day by day meantime, every day and every night are little eternities, especially as I have trouble sleeping.
Toilet is an issue too with such full leg cast. For once - our toilet is way too small for this.

Most suffering is ahead as when cast will be off - there attempts to bend my knee will start.

Cast is off for 3 weeks now, but by leg is still long way to recovery, still not working.

These kinds of leg injuries are the worst, it takes quite some time to make a full recovery. But you will get there!

    Thanks !

Indeed it's not easy, alot of work and exercise the knee and all the "6 weeks cast" dead muscles and related anatomy. Slow but steady progress, but it'll take a long time....

Plan to return to work next week. Not easy, but 2.5 months odff work is enough. It can't go without me. And I can seat and walk, biggest challenge is to get to and from work.
