So - are you pleased with our forum?

    Does it fit our needs?

Is there anything else you'd like to be added? Feature, text formatting style, smilie, group....anything?

I'm pleased with the forum the way it is, from what I've explored of it. I haven't gotten much in-depth with its features, though. :)

I don't like it, I prefer the old forum to be honest.

I hate having to come through a masking site to be here and I don't feel it's as good as I have additional advertisements on my screen that become quite annoying. The only feature I like that the other doesn't have is that we have our own development sections for other mods, which I guess we could of done there also. I'd be happy to go back anyday.

Thanking people for their posts is an ok feature also.

Well, I understand your problems with the forum (most of which as I understand are related to proxy access needed)....but I'm sorry to say I don't see us going back to the old forum....I just asked what we can improve in the current one - (if at all)
Maybe there is not enouph difference in the look of it - but behind the scenes it gives me much more administrating options...including easy and full control of access, permissions, different groups and forum areas....and this is important.

I didn't expect that we would go back to the old one, I was just giving an honest opinion from my side of things.

I'm not getting this problem on my end. If it's a help, I use this link. :)

No, this is something some people get for some reason.
Though I've tested it with my another Australian friend (as Dean is from there) - over a few comps - and he didn't have this problem.

Maybe it's about service provider and it's filters....or router....or antivirus.

I'd have to assume the advertisements aren't compatible with all internet browsers. I'm using Firefox, newest version.

I don't see any annoying advertisements of my firefox either.

Beside one banner at the very bottom of the page which in most cases you don't scroll down to see anyway

It's got nothing to do with which internet browser you use, it's from the masking site that i use, they add another advertisement on all sites you visit once going through them.

Yeah, I knew it's something with internet provider filtering :)
None of others had the problem.

Wow, how many smilies....was it THAT horrible? :)

Hope you'll visit the forum more frequently now :)

    It was smart you're tried/checked.

Since the latest chat box update (I think when you added the private one), the "view new posts" link (and its 2 cousins) don't appear on the forum index page anymore. At first they were above the chatbox IIRC, but now they are gone.

I can still get to them in a subforum, but can these be restored to the index again?
